Come hike with us on the highest peaks of Crete, see the amazing Lassithi Plateau from above and be part of Crete's stunning landscapes. Our hike starts at Lassithi Plateau. We start ascending from an old minoan path through the forest that will lead us up to our highest point, the peak of Karfi. There we will have the chance to see the ancient settlement of the Minoans which was inhabited at the late Minoan period (1200 - 1000 BC). Through our hike we will have amazing 360° views towards all directions. Wonderful sea view and at the same time the spectacular mountain peaks of mt. Dikti that exceed 2000m altitute. Definately, an experience that will lead you through Crete's hidden gems. Duration of the tour: 7-8 hours Package Includes: - Experienced english speaking guide - Pick-up, transfer & drop-off - Bottle of water & snack - First aid kit - Third party insurance - All taxes Equipment you need: - Backpack (approx. 15-35l) - Hiking or sports shoes - Bottle of water - Hat - Sunscreen - Sunglasses - Second T-shirt Activity Level: Moderate This hike is suitable for anyone in good health and normal fitness. Kids from 8 years old and older can participate in this hike. The hike takes part on reasonably flat & rocky terrains. Pick-up: Your pick-up will take place at your accomodation/hotel. Participants need to be covered by their own personal insurance (Health/accident insurance) for the chosen activities.
