BUTTERFLY GORGE

Service Description

The Butterfly gorge is located in the Southeast of Crete, it has high biodiversity and has water even in the summer months. During the hike you will see spectacular formations of the rocks and cliffs that surround the gorge, many pine trees, endemic plants and flowers and if you are lucky the endemic butterflies. Vultures and other birds often fly above the gorge. The hike is about 7km long and at the end point you will see the amazing waterfalls. The brave ones could have a swim in the cold waters of the waterfall. Definately an amazing experience. Kids from 8 years old and older can participate in this hike. The hike takes part on reasonably flat & rocky terrains. Pick-up: Your pick-up will take place at your accomodation/hotel. Participants need to be covered by their own personal insurance (Health/accident insurance) for the chosen activities.
